Tim Knipping (born November 24, 1992 in Kassel ) is a German football player .

Career

As a teenager, Knipping played for Olympia Kassel and KSV Hessen Kassel . At Hessen Kassel he made the direct jump from the youth team to the first team in spring 2011. From 2011 to 2012 he was a regular player in the Regionalliga Süd . In the summer of 2012 he moved to a league higher playing 1. FC Saarbrücken. There he was used in both the first and the second team. After his contract with 1. FC Saarbrücken expired, he moved to Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Lower Rhine in 2014 , for whom he plays in the U23 team. In the 2016/17 season Knipping moved to SV Sandhausen . There he made his debut on the 3rd matchday against VfB Stuttgart in the 2nd Bundesliga (final score: 1: 2).

For the 2019/20 season , SSV Jahn Regensburg secured the services of the defender. Although Knipping's contract with Regensburg would have run until June 30, 2021, he moved to the second division SG Dynamo Dresden in July 2020.
