Jan-Niklas Beste (born January 4, 1999 in Hamm ) is a German soccer player who is on loan from Werder Bremen to SSV Jahn Regensburg .
Career
Beste began playing football at VfL Mark in 1928 and then played for Hammer SpVg , two clubs from his hometown of Hamm . In 2007, at the age of eight, he moved to the youth department of Borussia Dortmund , where he played through all youth teams and in 2017, in the second A youth year, was accepted into the extended squad of the first team. He made his debut in the DFB Cup first round match at the sixth division club 1. FC Rielasingen-Arlen , which BVB won 4-0 and best played 90 minutes. However, there were only two more competitive squad appointments, in the first and second leg of the Europa League intermediate round against Atalanta Bergamo .
For the following season 2018/19 Beste was planned for the second team of BVB, but switched to Werder Bremen for an estimated transfer fee of 250,000 euros , as he saw better prospects there, but was initially only planned for the second team there.
For the 2019/20 season, Beste moved to the Dutch first division club FC Emmen on loan in order to gain match practice at a high level . At Werder Bremen he still has a contract until 2021. In October 2019, the defender sustained a knee injury, had to undergo an operation and was out for a long time. He could not be used until the end of the season and completed 6 games in the Eredivisie.
For the 2020/21 season, Beste moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for two years on loan to SSV Jahn Regensburg .
