Timor and Wetar Endemic Bird Area
The Timor and Wetar Endemic Bird Area (TWEBA) is one of BirdLife International reported Endemic Bird Area (EBA, German Area: Endemic birds) in the biogeographical region of Wallacea . It is located in the east of the Lesser Sunda Islands .

In addition to the two main islands Timor and Wetar , the Timor and Wetar Endemic Bird Area also includes the Wetar island of Liran and the Indonesian islands of Sawu , Roti and Semau off Timor and the islands of Atauro and Jaco, which are part of the East Timor state . The total area of the area is 34,000 km².
In the Timor and Wetar Endemic Bird Area there are a total of 35 trigger bird species, i.e. restricted-range species , which BirdLife International uses as a criterion of the EBA. Four trigger bird species are found in the region only on Wetar, 17 on Wetar and Timor, the others only on Timor and its offshore islands.
