In August 2010, Tite signed with the al-Wahda association from the United Arab Emirates . This contract was canceled after five games at Tite's request, as he accepted the offer from Corinthians from São Paulo to work there as a coach. It was his second engagement with this club, as he had already trained the first team there between 2004 and 2005.

Under his leadership, the national team qualified as first in the table for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. In the quarterfinals, the Seleção lost to the team from Belgium . Despite the defeat, Tite received an offer from the CBF to look after the selection for another four years. At the end of July 2018, the CBF announced the official contract extension by four years until the 2022 World Cup for Tité and the coordinator Edu .

In 2019 Tite was able to lead the team to win the Copa America 2019 title .
