Toleman TG184
The Toleman TG184 is a Formula 1 racing car from the Toleman team , which was used in the 1984 World Cup season from the fifth race of the season.
Developed by Rory Byrne and John Gentry , the car was driven by Ayrton Senna , Johnny Cecotto , Stefan Johansson and Pierluigi Martini . The TG184 competed in twelve races and took three podium places, including Senna's second place in the rain race in Monaco , in which it only put the leader Alain Prost under pressure with significantly faster lap times in its sixth race , but the race was abandoned than he was seven seconds behind. The team finished seventh in the constructors' championship.
The TG184 was powered by a Hart turbo engine with the type designation 415T. The 4-cylinder in- line engine had a displacement of 1500 cm³. The monocoque was made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic .
