Thomas Morris "Tom" Lawrence (born January 13, 1994 in Wrexham ) is a Welsh football player . The striker is under contract with Derby County and is a senior international .
Career
societies
Lawrence began his career at Everton but joined Manchester United at the age of eight . There he went through all youth teams and was loaned to Carlisle United in the third English division for the 2013/14 season , where he made his first appearances. The following season United loaned Lawrence to Yeovil Town in the English second division .
On May 6, 2014 Lawrence came to his first appearance for Manchester United in the Premier League in the 3-1 home win over Hull City . He was in the starting line-up and was replaced by Ryan Giggs in the 70th minute .
On September 1, 2014, Lawrence moved to Leicester City . He signed a four-year contract until June 30, 2018. At the end of the year he was loaned to the second division Rotherham United , for which he played in six games and scored one goal.
In August 2015, Lawrence was awarded to the second division club Blackburn Rovers until the beginning of 2016 . Upon his return, he played on loan at Cardiff City until the end of May 2016 . At the end of August 2016 it was awarded to Ipswich Town for a year . Then Lawrence moved permanently to Derby County .
National team
Lawrence made his debut for the Welsh U19 national team on October 10, 2012 in the 3-1 loss to Sweden . After 11 minutes he scored the goal for the 1-0 lead. On March 22, 2013, he came for the first time for the U21 team and scored against the Republic of Moldova to a 1-0 victory. On October 11, 2013, he scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Lithuania .
On October 13, 2015 Lawrence made his debut in the 2-0 victory in the European Championship qualification against Andorra in the senior team . He scored his first goal on October 6, 2017 in a 1-0 win in the World Cup qualifier against Georgia .
