The FC Trollhättan is a Swedish football club in Trollhättan in the province County Västra Götaland . The team currently playing in the third-highest Swedish division has played two seasons in the second-rate Superettan .
history
FC Trollhättan was formed on October 16, 2001 from the merger of Trollhättans IF and Trollhättans FK . In the following season, the club managed the championship in Division 2 Västra Götaland , so that he qualified for the promotion round to Superettan . There the team failed after a 3-2 home win and a 1-2 away defeat because of the away goals rule at Falkenbergs FF . In the following years she could only occupy places in the front midfield without being able to intervene in the promotion race.
In 2005, under coach Jonas Olsson, FC Trollhättan reached the runner-up place with eight points behind the season winner Qviding FIF and thus qualified for Division 1, which is the third division . There the team under coach Lars-Olof Mattsson managed to stay in the relegation against Skövde AIK in the first year , but was relegated the following year.
