Stops
Only nodes and end points are shown.
Stations in bold are served around the clock.
Stations in italics are only operated at night.

The line 4 is a subway line of the New York City Subway and runs from Woodlawn in Norwood on the IRT Jerome Avenue Line , IRT Lexington Line and IRT Eastern Parkway Line to Crown Heights - Utica Avenue . Since it runs on the trunk line under Lexington Avenue , it has the line identification color dark green and is also known as the Lexington Avenue Express .

Line 4 operates during the day in Manhattan and Brooklyn as an "express" that only stops at selected stations on the route. At night, on the other hand, the trains on Line 4 stop at all stations (except Hoyt Street ) and continue on the IRT New Lots Line to New Lots Avenue in East New York , as Line 3 (its sister line in Brooklyn) then does not serve this section.
