Unisono Records

Unisono Records is a German music label with a focus on jazz & world music , as well as audio books and is also a media production facility.

It has its own recording studio "Unisono-Studio" under the former name of mpp-studio, which carries out music productions for MPS ( Musik Produktion Schwarzwald ), compositions for film and television productions, as well as editing, sound design and graphic website design.

history

The music label was founded in 2011 by Patrick Römer, son of the jazz saxophonist Rolf Römer .

Before the label was founded, the focus was on original compositions and productions under mpp-studio, which were later taken over by Unisono Records.

In 2002 Patrick Römer composed the music for the opening and closing ceremonies of the European Athletics Championships , which took place in the Munich Olympic Stadium and was broadcast in 48 countries. Elmar Ottenthal directed the choreography and Detlef D! Soost .

Unisono-Records works with international artists such as B. Ramon Valle , Rolf Kühn , Peter Less , Katharine Mehrling , Ernst Bier , Achim Kaufmann , Stefan Genze, Jo Gehlmann, Matthias Schubert, from which several CD productions or masterings emerged.

The long-term collaboration with Rolf Kühn and Katharine Mehrling resulted in recordings for the CD "Am Rande der Nacht", which was recorded in 2011 in the Hansa recording studios and published under Monopol. Several MPS productions (Re-Masters) with Rolf Kühn have also been created and published by Universal, most of which have been included in the EDEL catalog since January 2014.

Since 2018 there has been a permanent cooperation with the Hamburg sales department EDEL , where u. a the highly acclaimed CD " Inge Brandenburg - I Love Jazz" came out in 2019, which was nominated for the German Record Critics' Prize and was in the top 10 of the jazz charts for several months .

Since 2019 there has been a cooperation with MB-Film under Marc Boettcher , with post-production and film sound becoming a further component of Unisono Records.
