history
The Gewerbebank Ansbach was founded on August 6, 1913 - initially with its domicile in Nürnberger Strasse in Ansbach. In 1919 Hans Bamm became managing director of the bank. He led the company for the next several decades.
On October 6, 1920, the Ansbach commercial bank moved into the then new bank building on Promenade 21. A year later - on December 4, 1921 - the name was changed to the commercial and agricultural bank. Four houses in the Neustadt that had meanwhile been purchased fell victim to the excavator in 1973 so that a corresponding expansion of the bank area could be ensured. From 1977 the bank operated under the name of Gewerbebank Ansbach eG Raiffeisen- und Volksbank.
From 1996 to 1998 the main office in the center of Ansbach was fundamentally rebuilt and expanded. In 2000 the bank name was changed to RaiffeisenVolksbank eG Gewerbebank.
RaiffeisenVolksbank eG Gewerbebank merged with VR-Bank Rothenburg odTbr in 2015. to VR-Bank Mittelfranken West eG.
