Varol Salman Tasar (born October 4, 1996 in Waldshut-Tiengen ) is a German-Turkish soccer player who is under contract with Servette FC .

Career

Tasar started playing football in his hometown in the VfB Waldshut youth team . For the D-youth he moved to SV 08 Laufenburg and already for the C-youth in Switzerland to the BSC Old Boys Basel . There he played his first men's games in the second half of the 2014/15 season in the third Swiss division.

To fulfill his dream of professional football, Tasar accepted an offer from Turkish third division club Aydınspor 1923 in the summer of 2015 . There he remained without a competitive game and left the club after four months, even without having received an agreed salary. He returned to Basel , Switzerland , and joined the amateur club FC Klingnau . His good performance there as well as a successful trial training led him to the Aargau U21 team in the summer of 2016 - a former merger to promote the talent of the three clubs FC Aarau , FC Baden and FC Wohlen from the canton of Aargau - which at that time played in the fifth-class 2nd league interregionally . At the same time, Tasar was a team member of the first team of FC Aarau, which played in the second-rate Challenge League and in which he gradually received more playing time. From September 2017 he was only in action for the first team of FC Aarau.

With Aarau, he failed to get promoted to the first division in the highly regarded relegation games against Neuchâtel Xamax at the end of the 2018/19 season . After a 4-0 away win in the first leg, in which Tasar scored the goals to 2-0 and 4-0, Aarau lost the home second leg 4-0 after extra time and also the subsequent penalty shoot-out. Tasar himself, however, managed to get promoted to the first-class Super League , as he had already signed a contract with former league rivals and table leaders Servette FC in February 2019 . For the transfer, Servette paid an estimated transfer fee in the range of 500,000 to 700,000 francs.

At Servette, Tasar received good reviews for his performance in the first half of the 2019/20 season , as he impressed with his speed and scored a total of five goals in five consecutive league games.
