The Verbandsgemeinde Hamm (Sieg) is an administrative unit in the legal form of a regional body in the district of Altenkirchen (Westerwald) in Rhineland-Palatinate . The Verbandsgemeinde belong to twelve independent local communities , the administrative seat is in the eponymous community Hamm (Sieg) .
geography
The Verbandsgemeinde comprises the northwest of the Altenkirchen district. In the west and north it borders on the North Rhine-Westphalian communities of Windeck and Morsbach . The two association communities Altenkirchen and Wissen limit it to the south and east.

mayor
Dietmar Henrich (independent) became mayor of the community of Hamm on January 1, 2018. In the runoff election on October 15, 2017, he was elected to this office for eight years with 79.77% of the vote, after none of the original four applicants had achieved a sufficient majority in the direct election on September 24, 2017. Henrich is the successor to Rainer Buttstedt, who held the office for 25 years.
