Tori Vegas' sister Trina is graduating from Hollywood Arts, while Tori is in regular high school. Every year the Hollywood Arts organizes a talent show called "Big Showcase", for which Trina and André, who goes to the same school, rehearse a song. On the evening of the talent show, however, Trina unexpectedly falls ill and Tori has to stand in for her sister. The headmaster likes this gig so much that he offers her to attend the Hollywood Arts. On the first day at the new school, where she doesn't know anyone except Trina and André, she meets Cat, Beck, Robbie and Jade. Tori finds it difficult to get used to this school at the beginning, but she likes it more and more.
