Vorwerk Schötzow

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Vorwerk Schötzow was a residential area in the Prussian province of Pomerania .

The living space was probably laid out at the beginning of the 18th century as a preliminary work for the Schötzow manor . The Vorwerk was about 1 ½ kilometers north of Schötzow in the Feldmark on the road to Strachmin . In Ludwig Wilhelm Brüggemann's Detailed Description of the Duchy of Western and Western Pomerania (1784) in the article about Schötzow it is only mentioned briefly as "a small Vorwerk located on the field mark of the same".

In 1816 there were 30 inhabitants here, in 1865 39 inhabitants and in 1905 41 inhabitants.

The Vorwerk Schötzow belonged to the manor district Schötzow formed in the 19th century . With the manor district it was incorporated into the rural community of Schötzow in 1928. Until 1945, Vorwerk Schötzow formed a residential area in the rural community of Schötzow and belonged with this to the Kolberg-Körlin district of the Prussian province of Pomerania .

After 1945, the area, like all of Western Pomerania, came to Poland . Today the living space is desolate . The desert is in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship , in the municipality of the Polish Gmina Dygowo (municipality of Degow) .
