Ströpsack is a former residential area ( desert ), today located in the area of ​​the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland .

The desert is in Western Pomerania , about 110 kilometers northeast of Stettin and about 8 kilometers southeast of Kołobrzeg (Kolberg) .

Originally there was an inn ("Krug") on the road from Kolberg to Belgard . On the large Lubin map of the Duchy of Pomerania from 1618, the place is entered with the place name "Stropesack". In Ludwig Wilhelm Brüggemann's detailed description of the current state of the Royal Prussian Duchy of Western and Western Pomerania (1784), the "Krug, called Ströpsack, not far from the village" is listed under the village of Zernin . Later, when it is not known, the inn closed. Heinrich Berghaus listed “Ströpsack, Krug” as part of the village of Zernin in his land register for the Duchy of Pomerania (1867) and described it as “an old facility on the road from Kolberg to Körlin ”, which is “for an arable and farm work ” .

Before 1945 the place name "Ströpsack" referred to a group of three farms ("extensions"). Before 1945 Ströpsack formed a place to live in the rural community of Zernin and belonged with this to the Kolberg-Körlin district of the Prussian province of Pomerania .

In 1812 there were 12 inhabitants in Ströpsack, in 1861 13 inhabitants, in 1905 14 inhabitants and in 1925 11 inhabitants.

After the Second World War, Ströpsack, like all areas east of the Oder-Neisse border , came to Poland. Today there are no more buildings at this point. The desert lies in the area of Gmina Dygowo (rural municipality Degow) in the powiat Kołobrzeski (Kolberger Kreis) .
