The constituency of Klingenthal - Auerbach II was a state electoral district for the state election in Saxony in 1990 , the first state election after the re-establishment of the state of Saxony. Its constituency number was 80.

The constituency comprised the towns of Bergen , Falkenstein / Vogtl. , Grünbach , Kottengrün , Trieb / Vogtl. and Werda in the district of Auerbach and all towns and communities in the district of Klingenthal : Breitenfeld , Erlbach , Gunzen , Hammerbrücke , Klingenthal / Sa. , Landwüst , Markneukirchen , Morgenröthe-Rautenkranz , Mühlleithen , Muldenberg , Schilbach , Schöneck / Vogtl. , Tannenbergsthal / Vogtl. , Wernitzgrün , Wohlhausen and Zwota .

For the 1994 state elections , the constituency structure was changed as a result of the district reform, and the number of constituencies was reduced from 80 to 60. The area of ​​the constituency of Klingenthal - Auerbach II was divided into two constituencies. While the towns of Markneukirchen with the now incorporated towns of Breitenfeld and Wohlhausen and the towns of Erlbach, Landwüst, Wernitzgrün, Schöneck, Gunzen and Schilbach changed to the Elstertal constituency , the remaining towns and communities in the Klingenthal - Auerbach II constituency remained in the newly formed constituency of Göltzschtal 2 .
