Warrington is a census-designated place (CDP) in Escambia County in the US state of Florida with 14,531 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Warrington is directly adjacent to Pensacola to the northeast . Florida State Roads 292 , 295, and 727 cross the CDP .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the 14,531 inhabitants at that time were distributed over 7,424 households. The population density was 811.8 inh / km². 68.9% of the population identified themselves as whites , 21.8% as African American , 1.1% as Indians and 2.5% as Asian Americans . 1.9% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 3.8% to several ethnic groups. 5.3% of the population was Hispanic or Latino .

In 2010 children under the age of 18 and 25.2% of all households lived in 29.7% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 58.8% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.33 people and the average family size was 2.93 people.

26.3% of the population were younger than 20 years old, 26.2% were 20 to 39 years old, 27.9% were 40 to 59 years old, and 19.7% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 38 years. 48.9% of the population were male and 51.1% were female.

The median annual income was $ 34,528, with 23.5% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the first language of 95.16% of the population, 2.81% spoke Spanish and 2.03% had another mother tongue.
