Goulding is a census-designated place (CDP) in Escambia County in the US state of Florida with 4102 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Goulding borders directly on the city of Pensacola . The CDP is crossed or tangent to by Interstate 110 , US Highway 29 and Florida State Roads 291 , 292 , 295 and 752 .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 4102 inhabitants were distributed among 1133 households. The population density was 1281.9 inh / km². 33.0% of the population identified themselves as whites , 61.8% as African American , 0.8% as Indians and 1.9% as Asian Americans . 1.0% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 1.5% to several ethnic groups. 10.1% of the population was Hispanic or Latino .

In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 28.8% of all households and persons aged 65 or over lived in 36.0% of all households. 59.6% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.45 people and the average family size was 3.19 people.

17.2% of the population were younger than 20 years, 26.1% were 20 to 39 years old, 38.4% were 40 to 59 years old, and 18.2% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 44 years. 67.1% of the population were male and 32.9% were female.

The median annual income was $ 23,089, with 36.9% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the first language of 98.56% of the population and 1.44% spoke Spanish .
