Werder (Brandenburg noble family)
Werder (formerly also from the Werder ) is the name of a noble family from Brandenburg , which comes from the primeval nobility .
history
Werder were first mentioned in writing in 1369 with the brothers Albrecht, Henning and Fritz von dem Werder and their cousins Busso and Konrad von dem Werder. The family owned the Rogäsen manor in the west of today's state of Brandenburg for over 500 years .
On April 15, 1879, the family received the Prussian count status in the first-born line ( Primogenitur ).
A family association has existed since 1920 .

The coat of arms of the family shows in blue a red diagonal bar covered with three silver lilies , accompanied by four golden stars above and three below. On the helmet with blue and gold blankets on the left, red and silver blankets on the right, a stake covered with three silver lilies between an open flight .
The count's coat of arms of August von Werder shows a silver-edged black iron cross in a golden shield , which is covered with the family coat of arms .
