Wesna Ratkowna Dolonz (born Manassijewa , Russian Весна Ратковна Долонц , Serbian Весна Долонц Vesna Dolonc ; born July 21, 1989 in Moscow , then Soviet Union ) is a former Serbian - Russian tennis player who played for Serbia from the end of 2012.

Career

Dolonz, who prefers hard courts according to the ITF profile, started playing tennis at the age of four. In September 2005, she played her first tournament on the ITF Women's Circuit , where she won three singles and five doubles titles.

In 2009 she made it into the main draw of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time at Wimbledon and the US Open . At the Australian Open in 2011 she was only eliminated in the third round against Anastasija Sevastova with 1: 6, 3: 6. Before that she was successful against Laura Pous Tió with 7: 5, 6: 2 and in round two against Marion Bartoli with 3: 6, 6: 3, 6: 0.

In 2013 she was also in the third round at Wimbledon, where she had to admit defeat to Kirsten Flipkens 4: 6 and 2: 6. In the world rankings she improved to 84th place, it was her best placement. She ended her career in February 2017.

In the 2013 and 2014 seasons, Dolonz played three games for the Serbian Fed Cup team . In her five games, however, she only managed one victory in singles.
