Wilhelm Julius Karl Heinrich von der Trenck (born August 21, 1803 in Kapstücke , † January 31, 1881 in Danzig ) was a Prussian lieutenant general .

Life

Wilhelm was the son of Wilhelm von der Trenck (1779–1847) and his wife Marianne, née Seiff (1778–1845). His father was major a. D. and mr on cape pieces.

Military career

Trenck visited the cadet houses in Kulm and Berlin . Subsequently, on January 9, 1821, he was transferred to the 3rd Infantry Regiment of the Prussian Army as a second lieutenant . From July 1827 he was assigned to the Berlin Cadet House for one year and was transferred here after this time. In mid-May 1832 Trenck became the superfluous Prime Lieutenant before he was added to the budget in April 1834. With promotion to captain , he was transferred to the cadet house in Kulm on May 12, 1838 and appointed chief of the 2nd company. In the same capacity he returned to his regular regiment at the end of March 1845. Promoted to major on March 27, 1847, he joined the 33rd Infantry Regiment as commander of the Landwehr battalion . From there he was transferred to the 1st Infantry Regiment on September 5, 1850 as battalion commander. There he was promoted to lieutenant colonel on March 22, 1853 and transferred to the 24th Infantry Regiment as commander on January 18, 1855 . He became a colonel on July 12, 1855 , and was awarded the Order of St. Anne II at the end of October 1857 . On December 10, 1857 he was appointed commander of the 3rd Infantry Brigade in Danzig under position à la suite of his regiment and in this position he rose to major general on November 22, 1858 . On the occasion of the coronation celebrations of King Wilhelm I , he received the star for the Order of the Red Eagle, 2nd class with oak leaves , in mid-October 1861 . Under awarding of the character as a lieutenant general Trenck was on February 5, 1863 Board for disposition made. He died in Danzig on January 31, 1881.

On October 1, 1838, he married Luise von Brandt (1813–1890) from the Rossen family. The couple had several children:
