World Pool Masters 2008

The World Pool Masters 2008 was the sixteenth edition of an annual pool tournament . It took place from May 9-11, 2008 at The Riviera in Las Vegas , USA and was organized by Matchroom Sport and sponsored by PartyPoker.net .

The winner of the tournament was Filipino Alex Pagulayan , who prevailed 8: 6 in the final against Mika Immonen from Finland .

On the first day of the tournament, a Trickshot Masters was held, which the Pole Bogdan Wołkowski won.

16 of the best pool players in the world were invited to the World Pool Masters. The game was played in the pool variant 9-ball . A shot clock of 35 seconds was set. If a player hadn't taken his shot by then, the opponent was fouled and " ball in hand ".

The game was played with a winner's break , ie the player who won the previous game may kick off the next game.
