The Dafabet World Pool Masters 2017 was a pool tournament in the 9-ball discipline , which was played from February 17th to 19th 2017 in the Tercentenary Sports Hall of the Victoria Stadium in Gibraltar . It was the 24th edition of the invitation tournament hosted by Matchroom Sport .
The winner was the Spaniard David Alcaide , who defeated the Scots Jayson Shaw 8: 7 in the final. The defending champion was the American Shane van Boening , who was eliminated in the quarter-finals against Alcaide.
