Wurmbrand is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Groß Gerungs in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .
Settlement development
At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 63 building areas with 24,581 m² and 53 gardens on 34,778 m² in the cadastral community of Wurmbrand , in 1989/1990 there were 63 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had increased to 208 and in 2009/2010 there were 116 buildings on 207 building areas.
Land use
The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 261 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of 1979/1980 and 92 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 244 hectares and 108 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 230 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 110 hectares. The average soil climate number of Wurmbrand is 19.8 (as of 2010).
