X Ambassadors is an American alternative rock - band from Brooklyn .

Band history

The brothers Sam and Casey Harris and Noah Feldshuh had known each other since childhood. They then formed a band at college and went to New York after leaving school . There they met the drummer Adam Levin and from 2010 the four of them performed as X Ambassadors . They came to Interscope Records and released their first EP after only two years with the title Love Songs, Drug Songs on the major label Universal . As a guest they were in 2013 on the Marshall Mathers LP 2 of Eminem represented. But it was another year before she, in collaboration with Jamie N Commons and thanks to a commercial for the Beats headphones by Dr. Dre had their breakthrough. The song Jungle used in it not only became a chart hit in the USA, but also made it into the Top 50 in Germany and the Top 20 in Great Britain.

From then on they worked with producer Alex da Kid , who also worked for Dr. Dre, Eminem and the Imagine Dragons had worked on their first album. First the EP The Reason was released in 2014 . The following year they had their second big hit with the previously released single Renegades : It reached the top 20 of the official US singles charts and number 1 on the alternative charts. It also went platinum for one million sales. The debut album VHS soon reached number 7 on the Billboard 200 .
