Yaani King

Yaani King (born August 10, 1981 in New York City , New York ) is an American actress .

Life and accomplishments

King is the daughter of a police officer who worked as an actress for a while. She grew up in Queens . King was educated in the High School of Performing Arts at Lincoln Center as a teenager . At the age of 17, she debuted as an actress in the Off-Broadway -Theaterstück The Alchemist .

In the thriller In the Cut (2003), King starred alongside Jennifer Jason Leigh and Meg Ryan . In the film drama God's Forgotten House (2005), which received the Californian Award of Excellence in 2007 , she took on one of the bigger roles. She also played a bigger role in the fantasy comedy For Heaven's Sake (2006). In the film drama Gospel Hill (2008) she appeared alongside Giancarlo Esposito and Danny Glover .
