Yandel (2008)

Yandel (* 14. January 1977 in Cayey , Puerto Rico ; bourgeois Llandel Veguilla Malavé ) is a Puerto Rican reggaeton - musicians . He became known as part of the Wisin & Yandel duo .

Career

Yandel grew up in Cayey together with Wisin and worked first as a hairdresser . In 1995 he started making music. In 1998 he published the first song with Wisin and has been part of Wisin & Yandel ever since . In 2003, the debut solo album Quien contra mi appeared , which remained relatively unsuccessful. He then put his solo career behind the duo career. After the duo temporarily split in 2013 to advance their solo careers, he released three more studio albums between 2013 and 2017, all of which hit the Billboard 200 .

As a solo artist he is particularly successful in Latin America and Spain, but was able to land several international hits.

In 2018 he released another studio album, again as a duo with Wisin, called "Los Campeones del Pueblo" on the u. a. Daddy Yankee and Romeo Santos were represented.

Private

In July 2004 Yandel married his girlfriend Edneris Espada Figueroa , with whom he has two children (* 2001 and 2004).
