Career

societies

The striker , who is mainly used on the outer lanes or as a hanging tip, started playing football at ESV Saarbrücken and later switched to the youth team of 1. FC Saarbrücken . He played here until 2004 before moving to the youth department of the French club FC Metz . After Kakoko had played two seasons here, he moved to the youth department of FC Bayern Munich on July 1, 2006 .

In the 2006/07 season he was with the U-17 team of Bayern German football champion of the B-Juniors. In the championship final against Borussia Dortmund in the Rote Erde stadium , he was the decisive player with the winning goal to make it 1-0 in the 69th minute. Since the 2007/08 season, Yannick Kakoko belonged to the U-19s of the German record champions. During the 2008/09 season he was promoted by Hermann Gerland to the third division team, for which he made his professional debut on March 25, 2009 (25th matchday) in a 4-0 win at home against VfR Aalen . For the 2009/10 season , however, he was not finally taken into the squad, whereupon he moved to SpVgg Greuther Fürth and entered 31 of 34 league games for the second team . After good performance in the Regionalliga Süd , he made his second division debut on October 3, 2009 (8th matchday) in a 2-1 win in the home game against Fortuna Düsseldorf , but only eight minutes after being substituted on for tactical reasons - after one Yellow-red card, the coach wanted to strengthen the defensive - was replaced again.

For the 2010/11 season Kakoko moved to third division VfR Aalen , where he received a two-year contract. There he was unable to assert himself and only made five missions until February 1, 2011, before the club announced the early termination of the contract. He then joined the southern regional division SV Wehen Wiesbaden II; at the end of the season, however, had to relegate to the Hessen League. He then joined the newly promoted SV Waldhof Mannheim for the 2011/12 season , which he had to leave after only one season. For the 2012/13 season he joined the fourth division promoted FC 08 Homburg .

For the 2013/14 season he moved to Switzerland to the second division FC Wohlen , for which he made his debut on July 13, 2013 (1st matchday) in the 1: 2 defeat in the home game against first division relegated Servette Geneva . He scored his first league goal on March 30, 2014 (27th matchday) in a 5-1 win in the away game against Servette Geneva with the goal of the final score in the 73rd minute.

In mid-July, after a two-week test phase, Kakoko moved to the Polish football club Miedź Legnica , where he signed a one-year contract with an option for two more years. He made his debut on August 2, 2014 (1st matchday) in the 2: 4 defeat in the away game against Olimpia Grudziądz ; he scored his first two goals on April 25, 2015 (27th matchday) in a 5-0 home win against Flota Świnoujście . During the 2015/16 winter break, he moved to the second division Arka Gdynia and won the Polish Cup in 2017 with the club . For the 2018/19 season he joined the Luxembourgish first division club and reigning champions F91 Dudelange , for whom he made his debut on August 6, 2018 (1st matchday) in a 3-1 win in the away game against FC RM Hamm Benfica . At the end of the season he was able to celebrate the championship with the club, but was only used three times. In June 2019, the striker then signed a three-season contract with league rivals Union Titus Pétange .

National team

For the U-16 national team , he played four internationals ; for the first time on September 19, 2005 in the 3-0 victory over Northern Ireland in Lurgan , and last time on March 23, 2006 in Auch in the 1-1 draw against France.

Kakoko was nominated for the U-17 World Cup in South Korea in 2007 - but only on call.
