Yekta Kurtuluş (born December 11, 1985 in Izmir ) is a Turkish football player .

Club career

Yekta Kurtuluş started his career at his hometown club Izmirspor . There Yekta played a total of 71 games from 2004 to 2007 and scored six goals. With his move to the Süper Lig to Kasımpaşa Istanbul , he took a big step in his young career. He made his debut for the club from Istanbul on November 25, 2007 against Çaykur Rizespor . In his first season he rose with Kasımpaşa in the 2nd division , but a year later he was promoted back to the Süper Lig.

In the 2010/11 season Kurtuluş was captain of Kasımpaşa and Turkish national team. In January 2011 he moved to the traditional club Galatasaray Istanbul for a transfer fee of 3.75 million euros , where he signed a contract until May 31, 2015.

For the 2015/16 season Kurtuluş moved to league rivals Medicana Sivasspor on a free transfer . He left this club after half a season and then moved on to Antalyaspor within the league .

National team

For the friendly game between Turkey and the Netherlands on November 17, 2010, he was appointed to the squad of the Turkish national team. In the same game Kurtuluş was substituted on in the 83rd minute for Hamit Altıntop and thus made his debut for the Turks.
