Eren Albayrak (born April 23, 1991 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

society

Albayrak was born in the Istanbul district of Üsküdar and later moved with his family to Bursa . Here he passed through the youth department of the traditional club Bursaspor, which is regarded as renowned in Turkey . In the 2006/07 season he and his long-time teammate Muhammet Demir were given a professional contract on the directive of head coach Raşit Çetiner . In the 2007/08 season he was included in the professional squad by head coach Bülent Korkmaz and made his professional debut as a sixteen-year-old in the league game on September 23, 2007 against Fenerbahçe Istanbul . In the further course of the season he completed another first division game and a cup encounter for the professional team.

In the winter break of the 2008/09 season Ertuğrul Sağlam took over the post of head coach at Bursaspor. As one of his first official acts, he involved some talents from the youth department such as Eren Albayrak, Serdar Aziz and Muhammet Demir in the professional squad. From then on, these talents trained with the professionals in addition to their work in the youth and reserve teams and sat on the bench at some of the professional league games. So Albayrak came under Sağlam to six league appearances, two cup appearances and scored one goal.

In the next season, Albayrak continued to train with the professionals and completed a league and a cup game for his team. His team led the Süper Lig for almost the entire season and delivered a thrilling head-to-head race with Fenerbahçe Istanbul until the last match day, which they won. The won championship made Turkish football history by becoming the second Anatolian club after Trabzonspor to break the championship hegemony of the three big Istanbul clubs Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray and Beşiktaş . As part of the championship team, Albayrak was one of the most legendary players in his club. In the first weeks of the 2009/10 season, Albayrak was suspended from the team along with Muhammet Demir. The team boss Sağlam justified this decision with the fact that both players in the players of the reserve league had been noticed due to unsporting behavior towards their opponents. Other sources claimed that both players did not want to renew their contracts, which ended at the end of the season, on the required terms and were therefore suspended by the club's management.

After the squad suspension, Albayrak waited one and a half seasons for his contract to expire and switched to league rivals Trabzonspor for the 2011/12 season on a free transfer . A decisive factor in this change was the fact that Albayrak's family came from the province of Trabzon . After Albayrak could not convince the head coach Şenol Güneş the first half of the season and was therefore not used in a competitive game, he was loaned to the league rivals Orduspor for the second half .

Even before the start of the 2012/13 season he was found not mature enough by the coach Şenol Güneş and loaned to the second team Trabzonspors, to the new second division club 1461 Trabzon .

In the winter transfer period 2012/13 he moved to the second division Çaykur Rizespor together with his teammate Sercan Kaya . At this club he immediately established himself as a regular player and top performer. In the second half of the 2012/13 season, with four goals and a number of assists, he contributed to the fact that his club ended the season as runner-up in the TFF 1st Lig and so was promoted back to the Süper Lig after six years of abstinence . After promotion, he stayed in his first first division season for Rizespor behind his previous year's performance. So he came to 16 league appearances, of which he ran up in six games in the starting lineup. With the 2014/15 season he also made his breakthrough as a regular in the Süper Lig. From the start of the season he was always at the top of the list of assists and was subsequently nominated for the Turkish national team.

After the 2016/16 season for Albayrak was just as successful as the previous season and his contract with Rizespor ended in summer 2016, despite injury-related failures, he was associated with a large number of top division clubs for the 2016/17 transfer season. Despite numerous interested parties, Albayrak moved to league rivals Istanbul Başakşehir at the end of May 2016 . With this club he reached the Turkish runner-up and the Turkish cup final at the end of the season. After just one season, he left Başakşehir again and moved to league rivals Atiker Konyaspor together with his teammate Ferhat Öztorun .

Since August 2018 he has been playing for the Japanese first division club Júbilo Iwata in the J1 League .

National team

Albayrak began to play for the Turkish national youth teams and went through almost all age groups of the Turkish national youth teams from under 15. With the Turkish U-17 he took part in the U-17 European Football Championship in 2008 and reached the semi-finals with his team. In the semifinals they were eliminated on penalties against the U-17 of France.

In November 2011 he was nominated for the first time for the second guard of the Turkish national team and made his A2 international debut in an encounter against the Norwegian A2 team.

After he knew how to convince at his club for a long time, Albayrak was nominated for the first time in his career in the squad of the Turkish national team in March 2015 as part of the friendly against the Luxembourg national team by national coach Fatih Terim and also used in the game when he came on in the 75th minute for Volkan Şen . It was the only use of the full-back so far.
