Ersan Adem Gülüm (born May 17, 1987 in Carlton , Melbourne , Victoria ) is an Australian - Turkish football player .

Childhood youth

Ersan Gülüm grew up in Meadow Heights , a suburb of Melbourne in the state of Victoria .

Career

Club career

As a 17-year-old Ersan Gülüm played for the Turkish-Australian soccer club North Coburg United in Melbourne. Soon after, he moved to the Turkish Süper Lig club Vestel Manisaspor after he was discovered by the experienced Turkish coach Ersun Yanal at a game by North Coburg United. He was used for the entire season as part of the senior squad, but he was only used in two Süper Lig games and two games in the Ziraat Türkiye Kupası , the Turkish Cup.

Gülüm moved to the Turkish club Elazığspor during the winter break of 2008 . With regular missions he consolidated his reputation as a strong left-footed defender. After half a season of solid performance at the club, Gülüm signed a three-year contract with the Turkish club Adanaspor . There he played 30 league games in his first season and was nominated for the title of best center-back. In July 2010 he signed a loan deal including a purchase option with league rivals Beşiktaş Istanbul , which allows Adanaspor to loan him for one season. Beşiktaş signed him for good in the summer of 2011.

In spring 2016, he moved to the Chinese club Hebei China Fortune for a transfer fee of 7 million euros . For the second half of the 2016/17 season, Gülüm was loaned to his previous club Beşiktaş.

National team

In 2007 Gülüm played in the course of qualifying for the 2008 Summer Olympics in the victories against Jordan and Lebanon twice for the Australian U-23 national team .

On November 12, 2010 he was appointed to the squad of the Turkish national team for the first time by national coach Guus Hiddink for the upcoming friendly against the Netherlands . After he was not used there, the Australian national coach Holger Osieck nominated him to the provisional 50-man squad of Australia for the 2011 Asian Football Championship , but Gülüm decided against a career in the Australian national team and stayed with his decision, in the future for Turkey wanting to play.

On September 10, 2013 Gülüm made his debut for Turkey in the World Cup qualifier against Romania .
