Zamudio is a municipality in the province of Bizkaia in the Basque Country ( Spain ). The place is located on the Way of St. James in the sub-region Valle de Asua (Gran Bilbao) and belonged to the city of Bilbao seven kilometers away from 1966 to 1983 . The Bilbao Airport is just four kilometers away.

An important trademark of Zamudio today is the Parque Tecnológico de Zamudio ( Zamudio Technology Park ), in which many large and medium-sized companies, such as B. the engine manufacturer Industria de Turbo Propulsores (ITP) are integrated.

With the bus line A3224 (Bilbao-Derio-Technology Park) the bus company Bizkaibus , as well as the train line Txorierri (line 4) of the Euskotren (Deustua-Lezama) connects Zamudio with Bilbao and other municipalities.
