… Like Clockwork is the sixth studio album by Queens of the Stone Age , released on May 31, 2013. It is the first album to feature Michael Shuman and Dean Fertita, who joined the band in 2007, and the last to feature drummer Joey Castillo, who left the band during the recording.

Recordings and publication

After a long time without any information about specific band activities, Queens of the Stone Age announced via Facebook in August 2012 that the recordings for a new album had started.

At the end of March 2013, My God Is The Sun premiered at the Lollapalooza Festival in Brazil. A week later, the song was pre-released on iTunes .

Various song excerpts were subsequently made available on the specially created website www.likeclockwork.tv. On May 6, 2013, an animated video clip for a shortened version of I Appear Missing was released .

In the beginning and middle of May 2013, Queens of the Stone Age played various small promo concerts on various radio and television stations in Europe, including Canal + and Oüi FM in Paris, Later with Jools Holland in London, a radio station in Brussels and a television show in the Netherlands. About two weeks before the official release date ... Like Clockwork was illegally distributed on the Internet.
