The 1st Yugoslav Football League 1935/36 was the 13th season of the highest Yugoslav division in men's football . It began on June 7, 1936 and ended on August 2, 1936.

Champion became defending champion Belgrade SK .

mode

The previous qualification with 22 clubs for the league competition was declared invalid by the association on December 15, 1935. Instead, the final round was played in the knockout system . HŠK Concordia Zagreb and Hajduk Split objected to the mode and withdrew, so the competition was held with 14 teams.
