Abdulrashid sadulaev ( Russian Абдулрашид Булачевич Садулаев , Avar Садулаев Булачил ГІабдулрашид * 9. May 1996 in Zurib , Tscharodinski rayon, Dagestan ) is a Russian wrestler . He became European champion in 2014, 2015 and 2018, world champion in 2014, 2015 and 2018 and 2016 free style Olympic champion in the weight class up to 86 kg, up to 92 kg and up to 97 kg body weight.
Career
Abdulrazid Sadulayev comes from Dagestan and belongs to the Avar people . As a teenager, he started wrestling in 2005. He concentrates on the free style. He belongs to the Gamid Gamidow Makhachkala sports club and is or was trained by Shamil Amarov and Magomed Magomedow.
In 2012 and 2013 he was the Russian junior champion in the age group of "cadets" (Cadets), which goes up to the age of 17. In 2012 he was then Junior World Champion (Cadets) in Baku in the weight class up to 76 kg body weight. In 2013 he repeated this title win in Zrenjanin, but in the weight class up to 85 kg. In November 2013 he already started at the Golden Grand Prix in Baku in the middleweight division and, at the age of seventeen, took an excellent 3rd place behind Gamsat Osmanaow, Azerbaijan and Soslan Kzojew, Russia.
He achieved a further increase in 2014. He first won the "Yasar Dogu" memorial in Istanbul in the weight class up to 86 kg ahead of Phil Keddy, United States and then also the renowned "Ivan Yarigin" memorial in Krasnoyarsk, where he relegated the entire Russian elite of his weight class to their places. He was then used at the European Championships in Vantaa / Finland when he was not yet quite eighteen, where he won the European Championship with victories over Sebastian Jezierzankski, Poland, Ștefan Gheorghiță , Romania, Dato Marsagishwili , Georgia, István Veréb , Hungary and Murad Gaidarow , Belarus. He only had to go over the full ring time of 6 minutes in the final fight against Murad Gaidarow, he won all other fights early. After becoming the Russian senior champion for the first time in June 2014, Abdulraschid Sadulayev continued his triumphant advance at the World Cup on September 8, 2014 in Tashkent. There he defeated Selim Yasar , Turkey, Jambuli Zotadze, Ukraine, Mikhail Ganew , Bulgaria, Aslan Kachidze , Kazakhstan and in the final Reineris Salas , Cuba and became the new world champion in a superior style.
In 2015 he remained unbeaten at all major championships. He became Russian champion again and also won the 1st European Games in Baku in June 2015 in the weight class up to 86 kg. In September 2015 he was unbeatable at the World Championships in Las Vegas. He won there in the same weight class over Atsushi Matsumoto, Japan, David Radchenko, Israel, Uitumen Orgodol, Mongolia, Michail Ganew , Bulgaria, Alireza Karimimachiani, Iran and Selim Yasar , Turkey and became world champion again.
In 2016 he took part in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. In the weight class up to 86 kg, victory and the gold medal could not be taken from him. In the final he defeated his former Russian compatriot Koloi Kortojew, who started under the name Selim Yaşar for Turkey.
In 2017, Abdulraschid Sadulajew became the Russian champion in the weight class up to 97 kg. He then started in this weight class at the 2017 World Championships in Paris. After victories over Reineris Salas Perez from Cuba, Mateusz Filipczak, Poland, Elisbar Odikadze , Georgia and Georgi Ketojew, who was formerly for Russia and now for Armenia, he lost to Kyle Snyder from the United States in the final .
In March 2018, Abdulraschid Sadulajew won the European Championships in Kaspiysk in the weight class up to 92 kg. In the final he defeated the resurgent Olympic champion of 2012 in the middleweight division Sharif Sharifov from Azerbaijan just on points. Then he became Russian champion in the weight class up to 97 kg in August of this year and also competed in this weight class at the World Championships in Budapest. After winning four fights, he met Kyle Snyder in the final and defeated him by falling after just 2 minutes.
Abdulrazid Sadulayev's hunger for the title is unchecked in 2019. In April of this year he was again European champion in the weight class up to 97 kg in Bucharest. In the final, he defeated Alexander Huschtin from Belarus. In June 2019 he won the European Games in Minsk in the same weight class. Here he defeated Nurmagomed Gadschijew from Azerbaijan in the final. In September 2019 he became world champion again in Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan) in the same weight class with a victory in the final over Sharif Sharifov.
In February 2020 he was again European champion in the weight class up to 97 kg in Rome. Here he defeated Albert Saritov, a Russian who played for Romania in the final.
