Adolf Friedrich von Langer man (* 7. January 1694 / 1695 on wholesale this in Mecklenburg ; † 6 March 1757 in Insterburg ) was a Prussian Major General , Chief of the Dragoon Regiment 8th , Knight of the Order Pour le Mérite , and shalt inherit in Dombrowken , Rasenau and Rosochen.

Life

Adolf Friedrich was the son of Kaspar Friedrich von Langermann (born January 2, 1660 in Bollewich ; † March 22, 1721 in Werder) and his wife Elisabeth Katharina von Erlencamp (born June 1, 1672; † May 29, 1723 in Mustin ). His father was a Prussian colonel in the cuirassier regiment "von Schlippenbach" and a master on Bollewick.

Military career

Langermann was employed in 1711 as an Estandartenjunker in the cuirassier regiment "Pannewitz" No. 12 . On May 25, 1714 he became a cornet and took part in the siege of Stralsund during the Pomeranian campaign . On September 20, 1718 he became a lieutenant and on June 15, 1725 staff assistant master . On August 5, 1725 he was transferred to the cavalry master and squadron chief and on June 30, 1729 to the cuirassier regiment "Margrave Albrecht" No. 11 . In 1736 he became a major and in November 1741 he was appointed lieutenant colonel to the 11th Dragoon Regiment "Nassau" . With his regiment, Langermann took part in the 1744/45 campaign in the siege of Prague and fought in the Battle of Hohenfriedberg . For his services there he received the order Pour le Mérite from the king.

On July 20, 1745 he became a colonel and on December 6, 1750 major general. On December 24th, 1751 he became chief of the Dragoon Regiment "Stosch" No. 8. Due to illness, he was diminished on March 5th, 1757 and died a day later.

Langermann was married twice. In 1735 he married Anna von Wulfen zu Grabow (* December 22, 1713; † September 28, 1736), with whom he had the following children:

His second wife was Christiane Juliane von Rieben on January 2, 1739 (born March 12, 1719 in Rey, † April 5, 1786 in Dombrowken). She was the daughter of Lieutenant Colonel Hans Christoph von Rieben († 1742) and Barbara Sophie von Arnim (* 1691; † November 21, 1772). The couple had the following children:
