Adolf von Brozowski (born December 10, 1823 in Lippstadt , † May 15, 1905 in Beuchlitz ) was a Prussian lieutenant general .

Life

He was the son of the later Prussian major general Wilhelm Fabian von Brozowski (1788-1854) and his wife Henriette Amalie Isabella, née Zurhellen (1795-1824).

Military career

Brozowski attended high school in Paderborn and joined the 4th Dragoon Regiment of the Prussian Army on July 1, 1840 . This was followed on January 14, 1843 when he was promoted to second lieutenant, he was transferred to the 7th Uhlan Regiment in Bonn . In 1849 Brozowski and his regiment were deployed during the suppression of the Baden Revolution in the battles of Kirchheimbolanden , Durlach and Kuppenheim . In July 1856 he was promoted to prime lieutenant and from March 2, 1857 he was commanded to serve as a squadron leader in the 7th Landwehr-Uhlan Regiment in Saarbrücken . In this capacity Brozowski was promoted to Rittmeister on December 19, 1857 . On June 30, 1859, he was appointed squadron chief in the 7th Uhlan Regiment.

In 1866 Brozowski fought during the war against Austria in the battles near Münchengrätz and Königgrätz . After the conclusion of peace , he was on 30 October 1866 as Major and extrabudgetary staff officer in the Hussars. 13 to Hofgeismar added. This was followed by a use in the 2nd Guard Dragoons Regiment from November 18, 1868 to December 11, 1869 . Brozowski was then commissioned to lead the 1st Silesian Hussar Regiment No. 4 . After the preliminary peace of Versailles Brozowski was confirmed on March 25, 1871 for the peace relationship as commander of the 1st Guard Dragoons Regiment. On March 22, 1873, he was promoted to colonel and was appointed commander of the 8th Cavalry Brigade in Erfurt on December 12, 1876 under position à la suite of his regiment . On August 18, 1885, he was finally put up for disposal with the award of the First Class Crown Order with the statutory pension .

Brozowski married on July 25, 1852 in Beuchlitz with Friederike Luise Hertzog (1828–1909). The following children were born from the marriage:
