Albert Freuler
Albert Freuler (born January 26, 1942 in Zurich ) is a Swiss actor .
Life
After training at the Zurich Acting Academy , which Freuler graduated in 1968, engagements at various German-speaking theaters followed . From the beginning of the 1970s he was part of the ensemble of the theater group "Die Claque" together with Lilly Friedrich and Paul Weibel. This Swiss theater collective represented a unique novelty in its form. Not only was “Die Claque” the first independent troupe with a continuously working professional ensemble, it was also worked without hierarchical structures, as is usual in established theaters. There was no nominated leader. According to a self-determination model, all those involved in the theater collective were considered to have equal rights.
From 1983 to 1989 Freuler belonged to the ensemble of the Theater am Neumarkt in Zurich under the direction of Peter Schweiger. Since 1989 he has worked as a freelance actor with engagements at the Schauspielhaus Zurich , the Theater an der Winkelwiese Zurich, the Vaudeville theater, the Theater Basel , Theater Tuchlaube Aarau, even theater Zurich, the city theater Aachen, the Landestheater Schwaben etc. In addition to his work as an actor acts Freuler also works as a director and set designer . In addition, he received various engagements for Swiss television : television plays, Telebühne, Eurocop and participated in numerous radio plays.
