The Albret Communauté is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Lot-et-Garonne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It was founded on November 28, 2016 and comprises 33 parishes. The administrative headquarters are in the city of Nérac .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

  • Communauté de communes des Coteaux de l'Albret ,
  • Communauté de communes du Val d'Albret and
  • Communauté de communes du Mézinais .

With effect from January 1, 2018, the municipality of Saint-Laurent left the local association and joined the Communauté de communes du Confluent et des Coteaux de Prayssas .
