Pompiey ( Occitan : Pompièir ) is a municipality with 215 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in France in the department of Lot-et-Garonne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Nérac and the canton of Lavardac . The inhabitants are called Pompieyens .

Pompiey is about 40 kilometers west of Agen . Pompiey is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Fargues-sur-Ourbise in the north and north-west, Ambrus in the north-east, Xaintrailles in the east, Barbaste in the south and south-east and Durance in the west and south-west.
