Anzex ( Occitan : Anzèth ) is a French municipality with 313 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Lot-et-Garonne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement Nérac and the municipal association Coteaux et Landes de Gascogne, founded in 1996 . The residents call themselves Anzexois .
geography
The municipality of Anzex is located in the Guyenne , 40 kilometers west-northwest of the city of Agen and about 100 kilometers south-east of Bordeaux . The upper reaches of the Ourbise in the Garonne catchment area forms the eastern municipal boundary.
The community area of 23.24 km² is divided into two parts: the northern half is characterized by fields, pastures and vines; the southern half is part of the Landes de Gascogne , Western Europe's largest contiguous forest area.
Anzex includes the villages of Anzex, Courbian, Lassus, Bourreloups, La Croule and Coudroy as well as numerous hamlets and individual farms.
Neighboring communities of Anzex are Leyritz-Moncassin in the north, Villefranche-du-Queyran in the northeast and east, Caubeyres in the southeast, Fargues-sur-Ourbise in the south and La Réunion in the west.

Economy and Infrastructure
Eight forestry operations and 30 agricultural operations are located in Anzex (cereal and vegetable cultivation, viticulture, cattle, horse and poultry breeding). The vines in Anzex are part of the Buzet wine-growing region within the Sud-Ouest wine-growing region .
Anzex is located away from the nationally important traffic flows. The road from Casteljaloux to Aiguillon (D 11) runs through the municipality . In the municipality of Damazan , 11 kilometers to the east, there is a connection to the A 62 autoroute from Bordeaux to Toulouse .
