Alexei Alexeyevich Bereglasow ( Russian Алексей Алексеевич Береглазов ; English transcription: Alexei Alexeyevich Bereglazov * 20th April 1994 in Magnitogorsk ) is a Russian ice hockey player who since June 2020 when Avangard Omsk of the Kontinental Hockey League is under contract (KHL) and there plays in the position of defender .

Career

Alexei Bereglasov comes from the youth department of HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk , for which he was active in the Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga (MHL). On January 23, 2014, the defender made his debut on the professional team in the Continental Hockey League (KHL).

In April 2017, Bereglasov signed a two-year entry contract with the New York Rangers from the National Hockey League (NHL), but only joined their farm team , the Hartford Wolf Pack , in the American Hockey League at the beginning of the 2017/18 season Commitment. In November 2017, the Rangers loaned the defender to his home club in Magnitogorsk and re-signed in the summer of 2018. After two years at Metallurg, the defender was transferred to league rivals HK Awangard Omsk in June 2020 .

International

Bereglasov represented his native Russia in the junior division at the 2014 U20 World Cup . He won a bronze medal with the Sbornaja at U20 level . Before that he was in the squad at the U18 World Cup in 2012 , where the Russians had to be content with fifth place.
