Career
In his youth, Khochlatschow went through the cadre forge of HK Spartak Moscow . There he played in the 2009/10 season at the age of 16 for the youth team MHK Spartak in the Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja League . In 51 games he got 40 scorer points . As the youngest player on the team, he finished the main round in seventh place in the team's internal scorer ranking. The talent of the attacker was not hidden from the scouts of the Canadian Hockey League and so the Windsor Spitfires selected him in June 2010 in the first round of the 2010 CHL Import Draft in 23rd position.
The Russian finally moved to North America in August 2010 and played his first OHL season with the Spitfires. In his rookie year , he scored 76 points in 67 games. This made him the team's third-best scorer behind Ryan Ellis and Zack Kassian . His 34 goals this season gave him second place in the team's ranking behind Tom Kühnhackl . In the play-offs Windsor reached the third round, where they were eliminated against the eventual champions Owen Sound Attack . With 20 points from 18 games he was the sixth-best scorer in the entire play-offs and second-best in the Spitfires behind Kühnhackl. In the 2011 NHL Entry Draft , he was selected in June 2011 in the second round in 40th place by the reigning Stanley Cup winner Boston Bruins . This let him take part in their training camp before the start of the National Hockey League season for the first time in September 2011 .
In July 2012, Khochlachev received a three-year NHL entry contract from the Bruins, who initially loaned him to Spartak Moscow from the Continental Hockey League for one year for further development . In January 2013 he returned to the Spitfires. From the 2013/14 season, Chochlatschow played for the Providence Bruins in the AHL and came during the season to his first use in the NHL. In the following two years he played mostly in the AHL for Providence and only came to a few games in the NHL. In the summer of 2016, the Russian returned to his homeland and the KHL.
There he played one season for SKA Saint Petersburg , with which he won the Gagarin Cup in 2017 . He then spent three years on the ice for HK Spartak Moscow before Khochlachev moved to HK Awangard Omsk in May 2020 .

His five goals represented a tournament record, which he shared with the Finn Joel Armia , the Swede Mika Zibanejad and the American JT Miller . He was also appointed to the competition's all-star team. At the U20 Junior World Championship in Calgary and Edmonton in 2012 , the striker was once again part of the Russian squad and won the silver medal.
