resolution

In the elections to the European Parliament in June 2009 , most of the AEN member parties failed to win seats; the UEN faction, belonging to the AEN, disbanded. As a result, AEN ceased its activities.

The MPs of the Polish PiS joined the newly founded group of European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) and later, like the Alternative Democratic Reform Party, their European party Alliance of European Conservatives and Reformists . The members of the Dansk Folkeparti and the Lithuanian party Tvarka ir teisingumas became members of the newly founded Europe of Freedom and Democracy Group and in 2011 they participated in the founding of the Movement for a Europe of Freedom and Democracy party .
