Altagène ( Corsican Altaghjè ) is a municipality in the French department of Corse-du-Sud on the Mediterranean island of Corsica . It belongs to the canton of Sartenais-Valinco in the arrondissement of Sartène . The settlement area is 600 meters above sea level. The residents call themselves Altagénais . Neighboring municipalities are Zoza in the north, Levie in the east, Mela in the southeast, Sainte-Lucie-de-Tallano in the south, Loreto-di-Tallano in the west and Cargiaca in the northwest.
