Cargiaca

Cargiaca ( Corsican Carghjaca ) is a municipality in the French department Corse-du-Sud on the Mediterranean island of Corsica . It belongs to the canton of Sartenais-Valinco in the arrondissement of Sartène . The residents call themselves Cargiacanais .

Geography and infrastructure

Cargiaca was passed from Route nationale 194 in 1933–73 . Today the departmental road D69 connects the village with Zérubia in the northeast and Loreto-di-Tallano in the south. This trunk road was route national 196bis until 1973 . Other neighboring communities are Moca-Croce in the northwest, Zoza in the east, Altagène in the southeast, Loreto-di-Tallano in the south and Santa-Maria-Figaniella in the southwest. The village center is 392 meters above sea level.
