The Alte Bürg is the rest of an early medieval hilltop castle on the Eichelberg at 570  m above sea level. NHN near the district town of Weißenburg in Bavaria in the district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen in Bavaria .

The remains of the castle still have a rampart crown, some 3.5 meters high, above the bottom of a trench and, after 100 meters, a trench with two further ramparts, one of which contains remains of ramparts that are 2 meters thick. A 2.7 meter thick wall in an arch seals off the main castle from the outer castle and still shows post slots. A memorial stone with a false assumption bears the inscription "Remains of a Roman castrum" and dates from the beginning of the 19th century. The mountain was already settled in prehistoric times. About 1000 meters to the east there are three burial mound fields that point to the Neolithic Age .
