Alyson Rae Stoner (born August 11, 1993 in Toledo , Ohio ) is an American actress , singer and dancer .

biography

Stoner was trained at O'Connell's dance studio (in Holland , Ohio ) and Margaret O'Brien's modeling studio .

She started acting in 1999 when she joined the International Modeling and Talent Association . Then Stoner received the award for the best model of the year there. In 2002, Stoner co-hosted Mike's Super Short Show with Michael Alan Johnson on the Disney Channel . After training in choreography in Los Angeles , Stoner appeared as a background dancer in Missy Elliott's Work It and Gossip Folks and Eminem's Just Lose It . She also danced in the Kumbia Kings video No tengo Dinero . Between 2003 and 2006 she danced with the group JammXKids . She left the group in early 2006 due to scheduling conflicts and disagreements with the leaders. She was replaced by Lauren Briana .

Furthermore, Stoner was one of the dancers in the specials for the Big Sharks - Small Fish DVD. In 2003 and 2005 she appeared as Sarah Baker in the comedies Cheaper By The Dozen and Cheaper By The Dozen 2 . She has appeared on several child-oriented television shows including Drake & Josh , Hotel Zack & Cody, and Raven Looks Through . In 2005 she recorded a cover version of the song Baby it's You by JoJo . In 2006 she appeared in the film Step Up as the young sister of Channing Tatum . In the summer of 2007 she was the voice of Isabella in the Disney Channel series Phineas and Ferb . She regularly taught a hip hop dance class at the Millennium Dance Complex. In 2008 she starred alongside the Jonas Brothers in the film Camp Rock . She is working on the Alyson Stoner Project directed by Kevin Schmidt .

In 2008, Stoner formed the Blue Lightning Team with several other Disney Channel stars at the Disney Channel Games , including Kiely Williams , Demi Lovato and Cole Sprouse .

Stoner played her first leading role in the film Alice Upside Down at the side of high school musical star Lucas Grabeel . The film was only released on DVD. She also contributed two songs to the soundtrack. In 2010 she could be seen as Camille Gage in Step Up 3D .

She is also a background dancer for Missy Elliott and Eminem .

Stoner has two older sisters.
