Anastasija Reiberger

Anastasija Reiberger ( Russian Анастасия Райбергер; born September 19, 1977 in Omsk , Soviet Union as Russian Анастасия (Настя) Рыжих, scientific transliteration Anastasija (Nastja), also known as Ryžich, German transcription of the Nastja; Nastja in English; Nastja in English, also known as an international spelling of Anastasija Ryjikh or Ryzih ) is a German pole vaulter of Russian origin.

Life

In 1992 she came to Ulm with her family . Her father Vladimir (* 1955), a former pole vaulter with a top performance of 5.40 m, built a performance center for the women's pole vault in Zweibrücken , where the family had settled in 1993, and also introduced his daughters to this discipline.

She took part in the German championships since 1993. On October 20, 1995, she received German citizenship . In her passport, her first name was transcribed in German, her last name in French : "Nastja Ryjikh".

In 1996 she set four junior world records (4.11 m to 4.15 m), and in 1998 she was fourth at the European Championships in Budapest .

In 1999 she won the World Indoor Championships in 1999 , set three German records (4.37 m to 4.44 m) and was U23 runner-up in Europe. At the World Championships in Seville , she was eliminated in the preliminary fight.

At the World Indoor Championships in Budapest in 2004 , she was eighth. In 2005 she was second at the German Championships with 4.35 m, she achieved the same place in 2006. In the hall she became German champion in 2004, and in 2006 she came third. On July 29, 2006, she set her personal best in Nuremberg with 4.63 m. At the European Championships in Gothenburg she was ninth.

With her third runner-up at the German Championships in 2008, she also managed to qualify for the Olympic Games in Beijing , where she was eliminated in the preliminary round.

She married in 2007 and has been officially called Anastasija Reiberger ever since. At a height of 1.70 m, she has a competition weight of 59 kg. She initially belonged to the SG Ulm sports club , from 1993 to 2003 the LAZ Zweibrücken and from 2004 the sports club ABC Ludwigshafen . Her sister Lisa Ryzih is also successful as a pole vaulter. Since 2009 Reiberger has been active as a trainer in the Hessian and Palatinate athletics federations as well as in various clubs. In 2012 and 2015 she became the mother of two daughters.
