Anděl (music award)
The Anděl is a Czech music prize that is awarded annually by the Česká hudební akademie (Czech Music Academy) in different categories. Currently, Pop Music Artists in the eight main categories band , Solointerpretin , Solo Artist , Composition of the Year , Album of the Year , Discovery of the Year , Video Clip of the Year , Hall of Fame and the four genre categories for folk , jazz , electronic and alternative forgiven.
The prize was founded in 1991 under the name Výroční československé hudební ceny (Czechoslovak Music Awards) and was called Gramy from 1992 to 1996 , modeled on the Grammy Awards . The trophy of a golden angel playing horn ( anděl in Czech ) with outstretched wings has been awarded by Jaroslav Róna since 1997 .
